Watching

Many people here seem to express conclusions, but not because they have done the actual research. Do the research for yourself, and think for yourself.

Whether anyone agrees with her or not, if only 50% of her information would be accurate, (again do the research for yourself), that would STILL be 50% more research than most evangelicals or pastors have brought forward. The job of each of us to study to show ourselves approved, and to be ready to give an answer to each one that asks of us (of the reasons for the hope that is within us), is up to each one of us. Let us not be weary in doing good. For others, it is time to get searious about what you know and can demonstrate or share with others. Be the change you want to see or find in others.

Having historic research is one thing. putting that out, so that you can be reproached by multitudes of people is not really a whole lot of fun. Evangelicals have a reputation of shooting their own wounded, especially where it involves issues of truth. seek the truth and the documentation to whatever conclusions you reach.
At the very least, those who want to know these issues should be watching the available videos, and reading her first book. I have yet to find a page-by-page rebuttal, or a serious critique of even her first book, published more than 10 years ago. The real problem (one of them), seemed to be that others hoped it would not be read, nor the information compared and evaluated with the hard facts of those who publish modern versions, but actually many of which [these days] don't even claim to be believers in any sense of the word.

Encouragement to all who continue to love and seek truth. And lets remember to separate the information from the messenger. If something historical is true, it is true whether or not the messenger is the most popular or not, or is perfect either. The bottom line is that you have to read and learn for your own benefit most of all, and not for the aproval of others, even those in your church. Most people after all, seem to prefer comfort. Truth is not often comfortable.

The 1602 Reina Valera version (original text) - You may be surprised to find out that the words of the modern versions of the Reina Valera have been changed. There seems to be much more to this than natural linguistic drift, or the standard changes that occur as language evolves. The question, when those changes are studied, is whether or not this was accomplished on purpose or not. There are some books and information about some intentional changes that were made to some of the modern versions in English, such as described in the work of [ Burgon] . ; [ More ] . ; [ Haldane] . ;.
or other accurate critics dealing with the original greek text such as Hoskier or Scrivener. But the choice of what spirituality a person decides upon is up to them. This includes the words chosen in the versions of the Holy Scriptures that they chose. Obviously, the results of that choice will be evident also. Many modern versions of Holy Scriptures have been found ambiguous and confusing. In anycase, now you can do the comparisons and the studies of words for yourself.

To all Christians who wish to be obedient to God's word, it should strike you quite odd that a woman who claims to be so in love with God's word defies it by completely disobeying the several places where Paul (and Peter) forbid women to preach and teach in church. You will see in this video many men in the audience as she "teaches and usurps authority over" them from Pastor Baity's pulpit. (In the second part of this video, not available on this site yet, you will see Baity tell Riplinger to "Come on up and PREACH to us tonight!" Get a copy of it if you don't believe me.) How amazing for some KJOs to suddenly disregard God's commands when it seems convenient for them and they are unable to defend their faulty arguments (which is very much the case for Riplinger) against the truth of history, logic, and scripture itself. This is why Riplinger distorts the truth and facts, and why she fabricates her own stories and changes the actual words of Westcott, Hort, and others to make her story appear sensational. She lies and many ignorant pastors have allowed her to bring her craft into their pulpits while disobeying the clear commands that God has given for women teaching in the church, especially when men are present in the assembly. It sure sells her books, though. Some KJOs need to chew on this information for awhile and then go read their Bibles.
